Thank you for being patient and courteous regarding issues. Kindly remember to drive safely near the workers and continue to contact me with questions and concerns.

THIS WEEK: Work will be ongoing Monday through Saturday. The contractor will continue pumping and filling septic tanks. Also, inspections will occur, and crews will continue filling in holes, and grading for sod.

As requested, there will be an irrigation water use rebate for residents who have requested irrigation meters. Orange County Utilities has sent out a letter with the details.

If you have a broken irrigation pipe, sprinkler head, or other damage due to construction, please contact me (contact info below) and I will notify the contractor of the needed repair. Please feel free to follow up on repair progress.  Irrigation repairs by an irrigation specialist will not be reimbursed.

Sweetwater West Construction Update
Week of August 13, 2023
This weekly update is provided to help inform residents of upcoming active work areas. Residents are asked
to use caution near construction areas and understand that weather or other unforeseen conditions
could affect this schedule.

THIS WEEK: Road work will be ongoing Monday through Saturday. Paving should occur on Longhill Drive,
Sweetwater West Circle at Branch Hill Drive, and all cul-de-sacs. Throughout the neighborhood curb and
sidewalk concrete work will take place and the plumber will continue making service connections and
pumping septic tanks. The contractor will continue the process of filling the tanks with flowable fill material. The material will be
pumped from trucks parked in the street, so driveway access will not be impacted. If water has entered
the tank, it will be re-pumped.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES: Remember, paving is weather-contingent. When road construction is near your
home, the crew will alert you to move your vehicle if vehicle access is needed. After the service
connection is completed, the septic tank will be “abandoned” in the next 1-3 weeks following the
connection. Sometimes there is a residual odor after the connection, however, it should dissipate fairly
quickly.

SOD: Sod is expected to start being installed this week at homes where the septic tank has been filled. If
you have any irrigation issues, please let the contractor know when the sod is being installed. He will
make the repairs at that time.

OCPS SCHOOL BUS ROUTE: Orange County Public Schools Transportation has designated one stop in the
community at the corner of Sweetwater Country Club Drive and Sweetwater West Circle. To allow for
school bus movement and visibility, please do not park near the bus stop. If needed the OCPS

Sweetwater West Construction Update
Week of July 30, 2023
This weekly update is provided to help inform residents of upcoming active work areas. Residents are asked
to use caution near construction areas and understand that weather or other unforeseen conditions
could affect this schedule.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Paving should occur on Sweetwater West Circle between Branch Hill Court and Longhill
Drive. Please remember that the “local access” signs refer only to the homes within the road closure and
give yourself time to account for a detour and avoid the paving operations areas.

THIS WEEK: Road work will be ongoing Monday through Saturday. Paving should occur Thursday through
Saturday on Sweetwater West Circle between Branch Hill Court and Longhill Drive and on Hidden
Meadow Way and Longhill Drive. Throughout the neighborhood curb and sidewalk concrete work will
take place and the plumber will continue making service connections and pumping septic tanks. Concrete
work may impact the intersection of Longhill Drive and Silver Valley Court.
On Monday, the contractor will begin the process of filling the tanks with flowable fill material. The plan is
to start on Grassy Ridge Lane and continue north on Sweetwater West Circle to Northfield Drive and west
on Sweetwater Country Club Drive. The material will be pumped from trucks parked in the street, so
driveway access will not be impacted.
Driveway access may be impacted at homes located on the following road:
 Sweetwater West Circle from Branch Hill Court to Longhill Drive
 Hidden Meadow Way and Longhill Drive
 Intersection of Longhill Drive and Silver Valley Court

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES: Remember, paving is weather-contingent. When road construction is near your
home, the crew will alert you to move your vehicle if vehicle access is needed. After the service
connection is completed, the septic tank will be “abandoned” in the next 1-3 weeks following the
connection. Sometimes there is a residual odor after the connection, however, it should dissipate fairly
quickly. Sod installation will occur at the end of the project.

IRRIGATION UPDATE AND DAMAGE DUE TO CONSTRUCTION: Given the focus on roadway work,
sidewalk, and service connections, in addition to the fact that the project will be in the residents’ yards
two more times soon, irrigation repairs will be prioritized. Broken pipes/leaks will be addressed soonest.
Adjustments to sprinkler heads and minor repairs will occur later in the project. If you have a broken
irrigation pipe, sprinkler head, or other damage due to construction, please contact Lisa Mark
(contact info below) who will notify the contractor of the needed repair. Irrigation repairs by an
irrigation specialist will not be reimbursed.

Sweetwater West Construction Update
Week of July 24, 2023
This weekly update is provided to help inform residents of upcoming active work areas. Residents are asked
to use caution near construction areas and understand that weather or other unforeseen conditions
could affect this schedule.

IRRIGATION METERS: Please check the list on the portal to make sure your home is included if you would
like an irrigation meter. The list will be finalized this week.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Paving should occur on Sweetwater West Circle. When you see the detour signs, it would
be best to use the main entrance instead. Driving through this area will slow down the workers and has
safety implications. Also, please remember that the “local access” signs refer only to the homes within
the road closure. Please give yourself time to account for a detour and avoid the paving operations areas.

THIS WEEK: Road work will be ongoing Monday through Friday. Paving is planned for Sweetwater West
Circle from west of Hidden Meadow Way on Sweetwater West Circle Barnwood Place. Crews will remove
the existing road base and install lime rock from Barnwood Place to Branch Hill Court. Throughout the
neighborhood curb and sidewalk concrete work will take place and the plumber will continue making
service connections and pumping septic tanks.
Driveway access may be impacted at homes located on the following road:
 Sweetwater West Circle from west Hidden Meadow Way to Branch Hill Court

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES: Roadway reconstruction continues. Please do not be concerned if the cul-de-sac
on your street is not paved yet. Paving company time is in high demand and is weather-contingent. The
strategy is to pave as much ground as possible while the paving company is onsite, and the cul-de-sac
ends take significant time. When road construction is near your home, the crew will alert you to move
your vehicle if vehicle access is needed. Please note that vehicles may drive without an issue on the road
base material.
After the service connection is completed, the septic tank will be “abandoned” in the next 1-3 weeks
following the connection. Sometimes there is a residual odor after the connection, however, it should
dissipate fairly quickly. Sod installation will occur at the end of the project. The watering truck will provide
dust control throughout the day.

Sweetwater West Construction Update
Week of June 11, 2023
This weekly update is provided to help inform residents of upcoming active work areas. Residents are asked
to use caution near construction areas and understand that weather or other unforeseen conditions
could affect this schedule.

TRAFFIC ALERT: A detour is planned on Sweetwater West Circle from Country Club Drive to the south
entrance of Valley Pine Circle to allow the crews to remove the existing road base and install lime rock.
Residents will have ingress/egress. This detour may start as soon as Tuesday. Please give yourself time to
account for this detour.

THIS WEEK: Work will be ongoing Monday through Friday, with a possibility of Saturday depending on
work accomplished during the week. Previously, Sunday was reserved for potential fine grading which is
no longer needed. Apologies if the community was concerned that work was not taking place on Sundays.
As you are aware rain has had a significant impact on the progress and the crews spent time this past
month repairing and re-preparing for grading multiple times due to the weather impacts.
Backflow water values are being installed as needed throughout the neighborhood. Service connections
are planned on Valley Pine Circle.
Driveway access may be impacted at homes located on the following road:
 Sweetwater West Circle from Country Club Drive to the south entrance of Valley Pine Circle.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES: Roadway reconstruction continues. Please do not be concerned if the cul-de-sac
on your street is not paved when paving occurs on your street. Paving company time is in high demand
and is weather-contingent. The strategy is to pave as much ground as possible while the paving company
is onsite, and the cul-de-sacs take significant time. When road construction is near your home, the crew
will alert you to move your vehicle if vehicle access is needed. Please note that vehicles may drive without
an issue on the road base material.
After the service connection is completed, the septic tank will be “abandoned” in the next 1-3 weeks
following the connection. Sometimes there is a residual odor after the connection, however, it should
dissipate fairly quickly. Sod installation will occur at the end of the project. The watering truck will
provide dust control throughout the day.

TRASH PICKUP: If construction activity on your street could inhibit the trash truck, you may want to move
the container to facilitate access. The construction team has been helping with this as well. If you are
concerned about container mix-ups, you may want to mark your container for easy identification. I was
told each container should have a unique serial number.

WASTE/YARD WASTE PICKUP: If your trash, recycling, or yard waste is missed, please call the Orange
County Solid Waste Hotline at 407-836-6601 to request a pickup. Issues may also be reported via Orange
County’s 311 phone number.

OCPS SCHOOL BUS ROUTE: Orange County Public Schools Transportation has designated one stop in the
community at the northwest corner of Sweetwater County Club Drive and Sweetwater West Circle. To
allow for school bus movement and visibility, please do not park near the bus stop. If needed the OCPS
Transportation Area Manager Denise Delapaz in Apopka may be contacted at 407-884-2208 IP 5003210

Week of February 6, 2023
This weekly update is provided to help inform residents of upcoming active work areas. Residents are
asked to use caution near construction areas and understand this schedule could be affected by weather
or other unforeseen conditions.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: The Northfield entrance/exit gate was reopened on Friday, February 3. The main
entrance gate is no longer needed completely open. It will work as usual starting Sunday, February 5.
THIS WEEK: Work will be ongoing Monday through Saturday. Gravity sewer line construction and cleanout
installation work will take place on Sweetwater West Circle around Hidden Meadow Way. Temporary
asphalt is planned for Barnwood Place. The double-meter installation began. Crews will continue placing
sod next week; homes first impacted by construction will be addressed first. Driveway access may be
impacted at homes located on the following roads:
 Sweetwater West Circle near Hidden Meadow Way
 Barnwood Place
Due to weather and construction materials available, the project end date is June 2023.

SOD: Some sod delivered recently was not in good condition. This sod delivery was allowed for erosion
control. Lawns will be disturbed again when irrigation lines are tied in and when the septic tanks are
abandoned. Before the project completes, sod conditions will be inspected by Orange County Utilities for
any needed improvement per Orange County standards and specifications.

IRRIGATION: If you have a broken irrigation pipe due to construction, please contact Lisa Mark
(contact info below) to alert the contractor and follow up until the repair is completed.
TRASH PICKUP: If there is construction activity on your street that could inhibit the trash truck, you may
want to move the container to facilitate access. The construction team has been helping with this as well.
If you are concerned about container mix-ups, you may want to mark your container for easy
identification. I was told each container should have a unique serial number.

WASTE/YARD WASTE PICKUP: If your trash, recycling, or yard waste is missed, please call the Orange
County Solid Waste Hotline at 407-836-6601 to request a pickup. Issues may also be reported via
Orange County’s 311 phone number.

SERVICE CONNECTIONS TO HOMES: Lapin Services installs the sewer line from the cleanout to the
homes. To do this they dig a trench about two feet wide at the homes. Once the pipe has passed testing,
the trench will be backfilled. Prime Construction will sod the area as soon as possible pending sod
delivery. If Lapin Services has reached out to you and you have not yet done so, please complete the
Orange County permit to allow them to work on the service connection. Kindly call new contact Jessica
Edwards, Lapin Services, at 407-841-8200 or email jessicaedwards@lapinservices.com with any
questions.

OCPS SCHOOL BUS ROUTE: Orange County Public Schools Transportation has designated one stop in the
community at the northeast corner of Valley Pine Circle and Sweetwater West Circle. To allow for school
bus movement and visibility, please do not park near the bus stop. If needed the OCPS Transportation
